Work out the tip, the total and each person's share in seconds, with the option to round up so nobody has to deal with coins.
How to use this calculator
- Enter the bill amount.
- Choose a tip percentage.
- Enter how many people are splitting the bill.
- Optionally round each share up to the nearest dollar.
How it's calculated
Tip = bill × tip% ÷ 100
Each person pays (bill + tip) ÷ number of people. A quick way to tip 20%: move the decimal point one place left and double it. On $45, that's $4.50 × 2 = $9.
